Game of Thrones star Lena Headey has sold her mid-century modern home in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles.

She has decided to move back to the UK, closer to her home town of Yorkshire.

The British actress, who is known to GoT fans as the tyrannical Queen Cersei Lannister, listed the property in July for £1.5 million and it is thought to have achieved above the asking price.

The savvy star is rumoured to have paid £609,000 for the five-bedroom home in 2014 so this was a smart move.

Her 2,992-square-foot home comes with those signature beamed ceilings and walls of windows, sliding glass doors, oak herringbone floors and a brick living room fireplace.

The landscaped grounds include multiple patios, a saltwater pool and an outdoor pool.

Despite such extravagances, the English countryside was calling for Headey.
