Masterchef presenter Gregg Wallace has invested in a £1 million farmhouse in Kent.

The five-bedroom property, close to the Kent Downs, sits in five acres of land and has its own stables and pond. Not surprisingly, the kitchen was a big selling point for greengrocer-turned-foodie TV personality Wallace, 52.

The West House, a Michelin-star restaurant serving contemporary British food in Biddenden, will be handy for the father of two and his fourth wife, caterer Anne-Marie Sterpini, 31.

Peckham-born Wallace is rumoured to be leaving Whitstable on the north Kent coast to move into his new place next month.

Coldplay drummer Will Champion and actress Denise van Outen also have houses nearby.

With trains from Ashford International to St Pancras taking less than 40 minutes, it’s a commuter favourite, too.
