Here’s the perfect rental for a British rock history nut — the Highgate home where Pink Floyd formed.

Bassist Roger Waters, drummer Nick Mason and keyboard player Richard Wright met in the early Sixties while studying architecture at Regent Street Polytechnic.

As students, the prog rockers lived in a Highgate flat at 39 Stanhope Gardens and honed their sound in the front room.

David Gilmour joined as singer and guitarist in 1968.

The six-bedroom Edwardian house has had a makeover and is now a slick family space, pictures below, available for £1,995 a week with Benham & Reeves.
