This week Netflix unveiled the first look at Olivia Colman in character as the Queen in hit series The Crown, returning for its third season later this year.

Now you, too, could live like a royal — if you can afford £37,500 a month.

An observatory, built in 1769 for George III, subject of the film The Madness of King George, has been restored as an opulent four-bedroom home by conservation architects Donald Insall Associates.

Still a functional observatory with a telescope loaned by the Crown Estate, it stands in seven lovely acres of Richmond’s Old Deer Park, with a private drive through Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club course.

Listed cabinets for the king’s scientific instruments remain in situ. It’s on Jackson-Stops’s books.
