Chris Robshaw is dreaming of signing off from Harlequins by winning the Premiership.

The flanker will begin his long goodbye tonight as the Premiership returns and Harlequins welcome Sale Sharks to The Stoop.

Robshaw has been with Harlequins for 16 years but will join San Diego Legion in the USA’s Major League Rugby when this season is over.

And asked if he could finish his time off at Harlequins by winning the Premiership, he said: “That is the plan.

“Of course we need things to go our way and we need to come out of the blocks very quickly.”

Harlequins are seventh ahead of tonight’s game with second-placed Sale, but they are just seven points off Northampton Saints in fourth and a spot in the Premiership semi-finals.

“I am delighted to be back in the club and having this final stint because otherwise you don’t get that closure on it,” Robshaw added.
