A super-skinny home, described by its owners as a 'life-size doll's house', is for sale in Notting Hill for £1.25 million.

Measuring just seven feet across, the terrace house, built in 1834, is only slightly wider than a London black cab, but is still slimmer than a Northern line Tube carriage.

However, more than 530sq ft of living space has been carved out across three levels, including two bedrooms, a separate kitchen/diner - and a reception room with French windows opening on to a south-facing roof terrace.

There's also planning permission to create a lower-ground floor from the basement.

The kitchen/diner is on the ground floor, with the main living area and roof terrace on the first floor

The current owners said: “We were smitten by this life-size doll’s house when we first saw it. Although it seems compact, the living dynamics work out better than in the two-bedroom flats we looked at."

The skinny home in Peel Street, W8, is sandwiched between two larger and more traditional Notting Hill properties, and is within walking distance of Kensington High Street and Holland Park.
