Man charged with murder over 2019 shooting in south London

A man has been charged with murder after a shooting in south London last year.

Kane Gilead, 23, of Lydhurst Avenue, Streatham Hill, has been charged over the death of 25-year-old Ramane Wiggan, Scotland Yard said.

Mr Wiggan, from Tulse Hill, was shot in the chest on a third-floor walkway in a housing estate in Friar Mews, West Norwood, on March 27, 2019.

Medics and bystanders battled to save him but he died at the scene 30 minutes later.

Mr Gilead was charged on Thursday and will appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Friday.
