Housed in a six-floor Art Deco building in the heart of Fitzrovia, Mortimer House has opened its doors as London’s latest celebrity venue — a place to work and unwind in luxury.

Interior designers AvroKO, who created New York’s starry hangout Beauty & Essex, meld mid-century touches with the classicism of the original building. There’s team-meeting space, events rooms, a living room, terrace, studio, Pilates room and gym, all looking polished, rich and cosy, or textural and cool.

If you want to experience the luxe atmosphere without being a member, book a table at Mortimer House Kitchen restaurant on the ground floor, for exceptional Mediterranean dishes. We spotted Episodes star Stephen Mangan tucking into exquisite-looking Italian cuisine.

Hotelier and founder Guy Ivesha, who is backed by the property investment company Cain Hoy and developer Galliard, came up with this recipe for smart co-working and cool social space. Membership starts at £100 a month.
