Daniel Radcliffe’s childhood home is back on the market.

The four-bedroom terrace in Fulham was originally listed at £1.45 million in May but failed to find a buyer and, recently refurbished, is now on Chestertons’ books for £1.4 million.

The Harry Potter actor now starring as an FBI agent in Imperium, lived there until he was 12 years old. Apparently he was in the bath when he received the news that he had landed the part of the boy wizard.

Meanwhile, the manicured suburban house (complete with cupboard-under-the-stairs) that featured as his childhood home, Number Four Privet Drive, in the in the first Harry Potter film is also for sale for £475,000.

The three-bedroom house in Martins Heron, Bracknell, was cast as the "perfectly ordinary house on a perfectly ordinary street" for the 2001 film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Filming took place at the location over two weeks as the property was transformed into the home of the Dursley family.

The Boy Who Lived famously did so in the cupboard-under-the-stairs - during his early years, at least.

Harry's aunt Petunia and uncle Vernon reserved two of four bedrooms in Privet Drive for their odious son Dudley, one for themselves and another for guests. While Harry kept the spiders and the vacuum cleaner company in the cupboard at night.

According to estate agents Chancellors, the Martins Heron property it is “situated in a quiet cul-de-sac location” and has recently undergone complete renovation. Its modern kitchen and wooden floors are a far cry from the salmon pink carpets, net curtains and beige upholstery of its movie equivalent.

The house was last sold for £290,000 in May 2010. Seven years earlier, the house was put up for auction with a much higher guide price than its market value thanks to its connection to Harry Potter, but the home failed to sell when the £250,000 reserve price wasn't met - despite receiving a bid of £249,000.

The dimensions of the cupboard-under-the-stairs have not been disclosed.
