Abbey Road opens its doors

Abbey Road Studios will open to the public for the first time ever to host a two-week film festival.

The studio, best known for the iconic Beatles' album cover - has recorded scores for more than 150 films over the last 25 years. Now studio 1, the world's largest recording studio, is to be transformed into a temporary cinema to celebrate the anniversary.

The season will open with 1981's Raiders of The Lost Ark, the first film to be scored at Abbey Road. It will culminate with Beatles films Yellow Submarine, Hard Day's Night and Backbeat.

The film season starts on 19 March and booking opens next month. For more information see www.abbeyroad.com.
