Anthea fires her ex-husband

One-time TV golden girl Anthea Turner has fired her manager and ex-husband Peter Powell in a new bid to reignite her flagging career.

After a 16-year association with Powell's company, James Grant Management, Ms Turner has turned to leading London impresario Jonathan Shalit, it was announced today.

Following a meeting with Powell at his company's Chiswick HQ, Turner, 41, said: "I have enjoyed working with JGM. However, I now feel it's time to move on and am thrilled at the prospect of working with Jonathan."
