Apology over disabled boy's treatment

A primary school has been condemned for its "heartbreaking" treatment of a six-year-old disabled boy who was barred from joining the Christmas play.

Lee Buniak, whose condition means he is a danger to himself if unsupervised, was not allowed to make a Christmas card and was left out of a school trip.

A tribunal ruled the Jenny Hammond Primary School in Leytonstone broke the 1995 Disability Discrimination Act and must apologise to Lee and his mother.
