Auschwitz gate sign is stolen

The notorious sign at the entrance to the Auschwitz concentration camp has been stolen.
The iron sign, which reads "arbeit macht frei" (work will set you free) and spanned the main entrance at the camp in southern Poland, was unscrewed this morning.
Police said they had set a dog on the thieves' trail.
