Bacharach, Goldfrapp and a Bee Gee headline the Electric Proms

Burt Bacharach, Goldfrapp and Keane will top the bill at next month's BBC Electric Proms.

Tickets go on sale for the weeklong event today. More than 60 artists have been confirmed for the biggest festival yet, which is being split for the first time between Camden and Liverpool. Bacharach opens proceedings at the Roundhouse accompanied by Adele, Beth Rowley and Jamie Cullum.

Razorlight kick off the line-up in Liverpool. Bee Gee Robin Gibb will mark the 30th anniversary of Saturday Night Fever topping the charts in the UK by performing alongside Sharleen Spiteri and Sam Sparro.

The show will be arranged by Anne Dudley, the Oscar-winning composer. Keane will introduce what is billed as their "new edgier, heavier sound" to an intimate crowd at Koko where they will be joined by a string quartet.

Chaka Khan will play at Dingwalls and Goldfrapp are due to play at the English Folk Dance and Song Society's headquarters, Cecil Sharp House, accompanied by strings and a choir.

Festival director Laura Clarke said: "The BBC Electric Proms is committed to new moments in music, and we are delighted to be hosting an increased line-up."
