Bank PA who stole for breast op spared jail

12 April 2012

A City PA who stole thousands of pounds from investment bank JP Morgan to pay for a friend's breast enhancement operation escaped a jail term today.

Emily McMillan used corporate credit cards belonging to executives to fund the £3,500 procedure.

McMillan, 28, of Sudbury, Suffolk, also took money to pay for a girls' holiday in Ibiza and for a repayment on her brother's mortgage.

The Old Bailey heard she began stealing after getting into debt through taking drugs supplied by a colleague. McMillan was caught after a routine audit and later admitted four counts of fraud and one of theft, totalling £10,633.

She was ordered to go on a drug rehabilitation programme and put on supervision for 18 months. She must also do 100 hours of community work and repay £4,634.
