Becks won't split with Posh

David Beckham has again refused to deny allegations that he cheated on his wife, Victoria.

The England captain did little to clear up claims that he had affairs with his former PA, Rebecca Loos, and model Sarah Marbeck.

He simply told Vanity Fair magazine that he and Posh Spice would 'always stay together'.

Pressed further to deny the stories outright, the 29-year-old - who skippered England against Japan last night - added: 'Everyone likes to say what they are thinking.

'But I've learned over the years that sometimes if you respond it gives people more ammunition to come back at you with.

'Sometimes you can respond to things and make things worse, make more front pages. Unfortunately, that's the way of life at the moment. But I'm happy right now - as long as my family is OK nothing affects me.'

Beckham, who has played 67 times for his country, added that he and Posh, 30, were stronger 'than people would ever think', despite the allegations which surfaced two months ago.

They have been married for five years and have two young children, Brooklyn and Romeo.

Beckham also told Vanity Fair he was good friends with hip-hop star Puff Daddy. 'We speak every now and then on the phone,' he said.

'We talk about what family - whatever. He sends me clothes sometimes.'

The July issue of Vanity Fair, which features Beckham on the front cover, is on sale on Friday.
