BGI reshuffles top investment team

12 April 2012

BARCLAYS Global Investors is reshuffling its top team to fill the gap left by Pattie Dunn, who stepped down due to illness. Bob Diamond, already chief executive, becomes chairman in place of group chief executive Matt Barrett.

Diamond is already reckoned one of the bank's top earners with close to £10m last year. BGI's new co-chief executives, Blake Grossman and Andrew Skirton, will report to deputy chairman Naguib Kheraj, who reports to Diamond.

The investment manager was a candidate for sale but the plan has been dropped since markets crashed.
