BNP gains three Epping Forest seats

The BNP has gained three seats in the District council elections for the Epping Forest region.

Terrance Farr won the Loughton Alderton ward seat from Loughton Resident's Association councillor Rosemary Brookes.

Thomas Richardson won Loughton Broadway from Margaret Owen, a Labour councillor and his wife Patricia Richardson took Loughton Fairmead from Labour's George Farren.

In Basildon, the BNP also put up a strong showing, coming second in two wards, pushing the Conservatives into third place. In four other wards they came third, ahead of the Liberal Democrats.
