Bombers hit Pakistan anti-Taliban talks

Two suicide bombers attacked the compound of a senior political official in north-west Pakistan today, killing 28 people.

A tribal "jirga", an assembly, was being held in Mohmand to discuss forming an anti-Taliban militia.

The dead and more than 40 wounded included tribal elders, police and local politicians.
