Broker Merrill ditches Regus

REGUS is 'between' stockbrokers after last week's rights issue. Merrill Lynch has quit, claiming that the office rental group is too small to deal with, according to City sources.

Regus denied Merrill's exit was linked to the rights issue, handled by KBC Peel Hunt, and the brokerage said it was not yet acting as house broker.

'We are technically between brokers, but KBC did an excellent job on the rights issue so an announcement may be made in the future,' said a Regus spokesman.
