Two brothers have been charged with the murder of a 16-year-old who was stabbed during a suspected gang fight.

Christian Johnson, 21, and Shane Johnson, 25, both of Lambeth, were charged with the murder of Oluwaseyi Ogunyemi. The teenager was stabbed in Larkhall Park, Stockwell, on Monday.

They are also accused of allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control in a public place, and will appear today at Camberwell Green magistrates' court.

Detectives said a large number of youths, many of them armed, clashed in "tit for tat" reprisals on Monday. The victim, who was known to his family and friends as Seyi, lived in Stockwell, a short distance from where he was attacked.

A post-mortem examination found he died from multiple stab wounds to the chest and abdomen.

A 17-year-old boy has been under arrest in hospital and a second 17-year-old youth has also been arrested on suspicion of assault.

A 15-year-old boy originally arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on bail.
