Bus and Tube fares set to rise

Commuters could face more misery after London's deputy mayor warned bus and Tube fares could rise again.

Tim Parker said he would consider raising fares to "properly fund" Transport for London. The warning comes only weeks after travellers were told they could face inflation-busting increases in train fares as rail companies are hit by the rising cost of electricity and diesel.

Meanwhile, the findings of an internal inquiry, looking at allegations of mismanagement and corruption at the London Development Agency, are due to be published this week.
