Cadbury go-ahead for Pernod deal

CADBURY Schweppes has received regulatory approval from the US competition authorities for the purchase of Pernod Ricard's soft drinks brands and businesses in Continental Europe, North America and Australia for £436m.

The deal involves the Orangina, Pampryl, Champomy and Yoo-Hoo brands and associated businesses. The move follows the approval yesterday of the deal by the EU.
