Caprice collapsed on stage

Model Caprice was told to rest today after collapsing during a performance of West End show Rent.

She had to be replaced by an understudy for the second half of the production at London's Prince Of Wales Theatre last night.

Caprice will miss tonight's performance of the show after being told she was suffering from exhaustion, but was hoping to be back on stage on Thursday.

The US star - who plays Maureen in the show - collapsed as she headed off stage towards the end of the first half.

She went to rest in her dressing room and consulted a doctor this morning.

A spokeswoman for the star said: "She has been told to rest for a week but is determined she will be in a fit state to appear sooner than that.
"She has had a particularly busy week, working very hard and has not been sleeping properly. After being on stage she has found it difficult to unwind and has had difficulty getting to sleep before 3am.

"She had been doing seven shows a week during her run in the show."
She is set to continue in Rent until the production closes on March 8.
