Car bomber kills 15 in Caucasus

A suicide car bomber hit the main market of the city of Vladikavkaz, southern Russia, killing at least 15 and wounding more than 130 people.

It is one of the bloodiest attacks in years in the North Caucasus, which has been plagued by Islamist and separatist violence. President Dmitry Medvedev sent his regional envoy to help co-ordinate efforts to help the victims. No one claimed responsibility.
