Caroline man is charged

The man extradited from the US in connection with the death of British schoolgirl Caroline Dickinson was today being charged in a French court with her sexual assault and murder.

Spanish itinerant barman Francisco Arces Montez was transferred from a remand centre near Paris to a prison in Rennes, close to the scene of the attack in Brittany five years ago in the village of Pleine-Fougeres.

Caroline, 13, from Launceston, Cornwall, was staying at a youth hostel on a school trip when she was killed.
