The Greek authorities, exasperated by the behaviour of British holidaymakers, have made a number of arrests in Faliraki over the last few weeks in a crackdown on loutish behaviour.

Holiday Rep Helen-Louise Sharkey, who has lived and worked in Greece for 12 years was one of the first to be arrested just over a week ago.

And this Wednesday at 1pm Helen - a rep for Olympic Holidays - will be online at This is London to talk about her experiences on the party island and to discuss the Greek authorities' handling of the situation.

The 33-year-old was held for conducting 'guided, illegal trade' after leading a group of 20 holidaymakers on an organised pub crawl.

But thanks to a legal technicality - because she is a rep rather than a tour guide - the wording of the charge could not apply and the case was thrown out of Rhodes court.

She had otherwise been facing a six month jail term or a hefty fine.
