Chemical alert at Science Museum

The Science Museum had to be evacuated today after three members of staff were injured in a "chemical incident".

Staff at the museum, in Exhibition Road, were treated by paramedics.

A London Fire Brigade spokeswoman said: "We believe it was a chemical incident. Three members of museum staff are being treated for irritation to the eyes."

The museum will be closed until tomorrow while an investigation is carried out.
