Cinderalla brings ice dance back to Royal Albert Hall

12 April 2012

The Royal Albert Hall's first ice dance spectacular for more than 25 years starts tonight.

The Imperial Ice Stars of Russia will present Cinderella On Ice, a Russian take on the traditional fairytale with a mix of theatre and sport.

It will be performed by a 25-strong company including Olympic, world and national ice-skating champions, with Olga Sharutenko in the title role.

The last time the venue was flooded and frozen was for British Olympic champion John Curry's Symphony On Ice, in 1984.

Cinderella On Ice runs for eight performances until Sunday. Tickets are priced from £15.50 to £52.50.
