Council website aims to clean up fly-tippers

12 April 2012

Londoners can now tip off their local council to fly-tipping and graffiti via their mobile phone.

The Love Clean Streets site allows people to upload pictures of anyone in their area committing the transgressions.

They can do this via an iPhone app or a website.

Local authorities will be automatically alerted.

Visitors to the site can zoom in to their area to see reported problems. The project is being run by Lewisham council and Keep Britain Tidy.

It has already been expanded to cover all of the capital.
