Couple charged after having sex in their own house

13 April 2012

Horrified parents made a formal complaint after seeing a couple perform a sex act in full view of the street, a court heard today.

Anil and Kirti Vadgama were in the front room of their house when it is alleged they were seen through the window committing the offence by mothers taking their children to a playgroup, Leicester Magistrates' Court was told.

Mr Vadgama, 45, and Mrs Vadgama, 48, of Harrison Road, Leicester, are both charged with outraging public decency on July 29 last year.

Prosecutor Julie Facer said: "They were seen on the day in question to be performing a sexual act within the privacy of their own home.

"It was in the full public view of their window, causing outrage to those who were taking children to a playgroup opposite the house, who were able to see what was taking place in that window."

The couple only spoke to give their name and details during the hearing and did not enter a plea.

They were released on bail and the case was adjourned to the same court on January 20 to await the appointment of interpreters.
