Dozens missing as ferry capsizes

A ferry carrying about 100 passengers capsized in a river in eastern Bangladesh today, leaving at least 24 people dead.

Dozens were missing in the river Meghna in Brahmanbaria, 50 miles from the capital Dhaka. A local police chief said many passengers had been able to swim ashore.
