Drivers' union to picket premiere of film comedy about suicides on Tube

Star: Mackenzie Crook in the controversial 'comedy'

Angry Tube drivers will picket the West End premiere of a film which makes a comedy out of suicide.

Members of train drivers' union Aslef will distribute leaflets outside the Odeon Leicester Square on Monday night at the opening of Three And Out, starring Mackenzie Crook as a Tube driver who finds out that if he has three fatal accidents within a month he will lose his job but get a huge pay-off. He then goes on a quest to find someone willing to jump in front on his train so he can take the cash and retire.

Surprisingly, Tube chiefs gave permission for filming.

The Aslef leaflets being handed to film goers and the guest stars state: "As you are munching your popcorn, please take a moment to think about all those people for whom railway deaths are a tragedy, not a comedy."
