Family issue plea to bring killer of girl, 16, to justice

Victim: Agnes Sina-Inakoju
12 April 2012

The family of the teenage girl who died after being shot in the neck today pleaded for information to help bring her killer to justice.

Award winning pupil Agnes Sina-Inakoju, 16, died last Friday after being shot on Wednesday evening as she chatted with friends inside a takeaway restaurant in Hackney. A youth aged 16 and a 21-year-old man are being questioned about the shooting.

Agnes's family issued a statement saying: "About a week ago our lives were torn apart. All of us are still coming to terms with what happened on that Wednesday night and Agnes's subsequent death on Friday morning. We are still asking questions: Who? Why? How? and What for? These questions will haunt us for the rest of our lives."

"Our questions can only be answered if the police are able to apprehend those who committed such a cowardly crime against our family. Our lives since then have been an emotional roller coaster.

"Agnes Olatoun Sina-Inakoju was a charismatic, ambitious, loving and caring girl who strove to keep others happy. We are appealing to you all to help us get the justice Agnes so rightly deserves. Please help us bring her murderer to justice."
