Fatboy: I've forgiven Zoe

Norman Cook, the DJ better known as Fatboy Slim, has broken silence over his wife Zoe Ball's infidelity and said their relationship is now "stronger than ever".

The millionaire musician, 40, who has previously refused to comment on the couple's brief separation, spoke for the first time about their split and his feelings towards his wife's former lover, record producer Dan Peppe.

Recalling the moment he met Peppe at last summer's Glastonbury Festival, he said: "I looked at him then turned on my heels and walked away. I didn't really feel anger towards him. He was a kind of victim in all this, too - a pawn who was caught up in all our problems.

"I trust Zoe 100 per cent. We love each other now more than we ever have. I've no doubt we'll be together for ever. I'm not a macho or vindictive or angry person and I can forgive.

"There was no point hitting him or shouting at him. I hate confrontation-and violence. It wouldn't have achieved anything. I'm a pacifist and I'm not malicious."

In an interview in The Sun, Cook said: "I have completely forgiven Zoe and I understand why this happened. I know she won't ever do it again. What happened has made our relationship stronger than ever. We are closer. Our marriage is better than it has ever been."

He added: "Some might think it strange but I didn't feel anger or hate. I'm not obsessive about it and it's not as if his face is burned in my head."
