'Film crew wrecked my home'

Jack Lefley13 April 2012

A MILLIONAIRE awarded £85,000 compensation after his home was damaged during filming of a movie starring Bond actor Daniel Craig today described his "15 months of torment".

Double glazing businessman Glen Haysman hired out his £2 million Hertfordshire house to production company Mrs Rogers Films Ltd, which shot scenes for Flashbacks Of A Fool. But the father of five returned to the four-bedroom property to find heavy vehicles used on set had "sunk" into his drive. The 55-year-old told today how film crews went "hell for leather" around the house in Rickmansworth as they ran out of time damaging wallpaper and ceilings.

Mr Haysman's battle for adequate compensation finally ended yesterday when a High Court judge found in his favour. He told the Standard: "I have been put through so much unnecessary stress. It has been 15 months of torment. Once they told me they'd pay for any damage they couldn't have cared less."
