First UK flight to Kenya arrives

13 April 2012

The first of the resumed flights by UK carriers to Kenya touched down in Nairobi today.

A British Airways plane left Heathrow airport last night bound for the Kenyan capital following the lifting of a ban imposed by the UK Government.

The Government has not yet lifted the ban on flights to the Kenyan seaside resort of Mombasa, but hopes to do so soon.

Meanwhile, BA, which has already announced plans to resume services to Baghdad after a 14-year gap, said today that it hoped to start flights to the Iraqi capital soon.
