Four truck drivers are held in Iraq

Four Lebanese truck drivers have been taken hostage in Iraq, a source in Beirut's foreign ministry said today.

The official said the men were captured driving west between Baghdad and Ramadi. He had no details about the identity of the kidnappers or the drivers' employers.

Lebanese businessman Antoine Antoun was seized last Friday with a Syrian driver. Talks to free them are continuing. A Lebanese hostage was killed in June but several others have since been freed.

Meanwhile, two US marines were killed today in fighting in the southern Iraqi city of Najaf. The US Army said they were from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
