Fox bites woman while she sleeps

12 April 2012

A fox crept into a lawyer's house and bit her on the ear as she slept in bed.

Annie Bradwell, 46, believes the fox got in through a window she had left open at her Fulham house. She need hospital treatment and has warned her neighbours to watch out for the animal.

Miss Bradwell said: "I realised I was bleeding and that I had been bitten quite badly. I then started getting very frightened because I don't know what diseases foxes carry nowadays.

"My ear had to be glued back together."

Miss Bradwell called Hammersmith and Fulham council to ask them to take action, but was told the town hall's powers were limited as foxes are not classed as vermin.
