From shop assistants to Mr and Miss England

They met working for a clothing company known for only employing beautiful people.

Now Alize Lily Mounter and Roland Johnson, who worked for American clothing brand Hollister, have been crowned Mr and Miss England.

Miss Mounter, 22, who lives in Kensington, will now represent England at Miss World in November. She persuaded Mr Johnson, 19, a musician from Surrey, to take part "for a laugh".

He was working at the Bond Street store of Hollister's parent company Abercrombie & Fitch while Miss Mounter was working at Westfield.

Miss Mounter said: "It is something I thought he would be really good at because he is a real prince charming. But then I ended up winning as well, which is absurd."

Abercrombie & Fitch has a strict "look policy" and was successfully sued by an employee for being harassed after she refused to take off a cardigan covering a prosthetic arm.
