Stunt GP

PlayStation 2

I can't deny it, I love radio-controlled cars, but hey doesn't everyone? You'd think that Stunt GP would be a gamer's dream, considering it's packed with some of the coolest looking cars that you'll see in a videogame. There are more than 15 different vehicles in all and each of them has different Stunt, Grip and Power ratings that help make them each feel unique to drive.
In Championship mode you can do things like select the team sponsor, buy different cars, and customise your vehicle by upgrading various parts. It all seems perfect doesn't it?
Sadly it's not, the game lacks that component that ends up making it anything more than average. Yes, the visuals are fine; yes, the control is solid and, yes, there are loads of gameplay options, but I'm afraid the whole experience is almost completely devoid of what we like to think is a very important part of any game - fun. European Super League

Game Boy Advance

It may not be the most advanced and it certainly isn't the prettiest game on GBA, but at least it's football. It's the game most needed on the little handheld. The controls for this are about as simple as it gets, making this instantly entertaining - although the lack of a two-player link-up option is disappointing.
There may be only 12 teams to choose from, but the players, though it seems they've been hit repeatedly with a spade until they all look like Paul Scholes' little brother, are clear enough and responsive. This game goes some way to helping GBA seem a little more grown up and a bit less embarrassing. (NP)
