'Gandhi' protester held in crackdown

Police arrested India's leading anti-corruption campaigner and 400 supporters were detained in New Delhi today.

Anna Hazare, 74, who styles himself on Mahatma Gandhi, was driven from his home by detectives.
His followers later said he had begun a fast to the death.

The crackdown is a gamble by the ruling Congress party which is engulfed in bribery scandals.
