'Gang rape' quiz goes on

13 April 2012

Eight Newcastle United players will be questioned by police investigating the football "gang rape" scandal, it is reported today.

They have been asked to account for their movements in the hours before the alleged attack on a 17-year-old girl at the Grosvenor House hotel in Park Lane.

The players are among those who did not travel back to Tyneside after the team's 26 September game against Arsenal.

Some could become potential witnesses against other Premiership footballers if the case reaches court.
