Tickets for this year's Glastonbury Festival have sold out in just 24 hours.

All 85,000 tickets, costing £105 each, were snapped up in record time after going on sale nationwide - and from This is London's ticket shop - at 9am yesterday.

Last year it took 10 weeks for the event to sell out.

Glastonbury, Britain's best known music festival, takes place in Pilton, Somerset, over the weekend of June 27-29.

Radiohead and REM are so far the only acts officially confirmed to play at the festival.

Prince, The Polyphonic Spree, The Flaming Lips and The White Stripes are all rumoured to be appearing.
