Half million pupils get another day off

More than 500,000 children were given another day off lessons as at least 1,000 schools closed across London.
Teachers were unable to get into work, school heating systems broke down and playgrounds were judged too dangerous for children.
All 90 schools in Enfield have been advised to close today and tomorrow, while 110 schools were shut in Barnet.
