Have children while you are young says DJ Lauren Laverne

BBC presenter Lauren Laverne has criticised the growing number of women who wait to start a family.

The BBC 6 Music DJ, 32, said women who delay having a family in their twenties risk missing out on a "sense of completion".

Laverne has a three-year-old son, Fergus, by her DJ husband Graeme Fisher and gave birth to their second boy, Mack, last year.

"If you're with the right person, do it, get married, have the baby, take a leap of faith," she told Red Magazine.

"I have a sense of completion about my family and the future. You can only really get that when you crack on when you're young."
