Wayne Harley has 66 previous convictions over a 22-year period, starting when he was a teenager. 47 are for theft, they include:
January 1986: Sentenced to three years in a youngoffenders' institution for aggravatedburglary of a house in Wandsworth. Hestole ?8,100 worth of jewellery, ajewellery box and a video recorder.
November 1991: Found guilty of aggravated burglary atWimbledon home of David and Sandra Walsh. Harley and an accomplice tied Mr Walsh upwith phone flex and stole a watch, cashand credit cards. Sentenced to four yearsat the Old Bailey.
May 1995: Jailed for six years after burgling anexclusive property in Weybridge andthreatening owner with a knife. Heescaped in a stolen car.
August 2000: Attempted burglary of a detached house in Putney. Jailed for 30 months at KingstonCrown Court.
October 2004:Jailed for life at Kingston Crown Courtafter admitting aggravated burlary ofJuan Sebastian Veron's ?2.5 million homein Barnes. Carrying a machete, hethreatened to kill the footballer'schildren.
Other offences include:

- Two counts of failing to appear on bail.
- One count of criminal damage.
