How the Thames bridge station is going to look

12 April 2012

Computer-generated images of the first London railway station to span the Thames were released today as passengers were warned of an eight-week closure over Christmas.

Transport minister Theresa Villiers was today visiting Blackfriars to see the completion of its north station concourse. A new south station is also being built on the South Bank.

Blackfriars Tube station is closed and the rail station will shut from November 20 until January 17 to allow the track layout to be changed. Trains will run through the station with passengers able to use City Thameslink or Elephant and Castle.
