12 April 2012

Residents of Kensington are nearly four times more likely to be victims of identity fraud than those living anywhere else in Britain, research today reveals.

King's Road, Chelsea, is the second most likely place where identity fraud will take place, followed by Victoria Street in Victoria.

The figures, released by global information services company Experian, show the number of identity fraud victims seeking help rose by 20 per cent last year.

The average financial loss per victim was £1,100, while one person who sought help was swindled out of almost £59,000.
