Incentive aims for vodka revolution

James McLean12 April 2012

EVER found yourself in the heart of Soho on Hallowe'en, craving for a toffee apple-flavoured vodka? Maybe not. But Alternative Investment Market-listed Inventive Leisure tonight opens a bar to offer just that service.

The Manchester-based group has enjoyed success with its Revolution vodka concept north of the Watford Gap, opening 24 since the first site was launched in Manchester six years ago. Revolution Soho is its first shot at luring in the capital's drinkers.

In an area with more bars and clubs than practically any other centre in Europe, competition will be tough. But chief executive Roy Ellis is confident of finding a niche.

On Monday Inventive is expected to announce pre-tax profits of £2.2m for the year to 30 June up from £1.3m.
